Seven films were shown, including the Oscar-winning documentary feature, Taxi To The Dark Side, directed by Alex Gibney. Programming for the 2009 festival will be handled by Helga Stephenson, Chair of the Film Festival Sub-Committee for Human Rights Watch Canada.
